Back home, completely recharged. There’s just something about getting away, spending a whole bunch of time outside, walking around barefoot, and enjoying the summer breeze. I read a whole ton of books, watched a whole bunch of Departures, and stayed up real late watching an intense thunderstorm. I’m totally not prepared to work two 50 hour work weeks, but I did manage to get some well needed rest and relaxation. Oh Harmony Ranch, you always treat me well!

Such a good way to end a good night
Go be that starving Artist you’re afraid to be. Open up that journal and get poetic finally. Volunteer. Suck it up and travel. You were not born here to work and pay taxes. You were put here to be part of a vast organism to explore and create. Stop putting it off. The world has much more to offer than what’s on 15 televisions at TGI Fridays. Take pictures. Scare people. Shake up the scene. Be the change you want to see in the world. You’ll thank yourself for it.
I was laying in bed this morning when I realized that people are supposed to come in and out of your life. The friends you have now are not necessarily the friends you will have for life. Sometimes you need to take a break from them, even if only for a couple of months, to realize how valuable they are to you. Never give up on friendships, but also learn how to let them go when the time has come. Change is good and healthy. Imagine if no one changed, and everyone stayed the same. Growth is a natural part of life, and with growth comes change, and visa versa. Lately I’ve gotten really excited about what the future holds for me, but I know that what I want to do will take me away from friends and family. It’s the sacrifice I’ll have to make when the time comes, but by leaving some friends behind, I know there will be more to make wherever I go.
